MY STORY
Our life trajectories largely determine who we are.

I am a global citizen of the world, hard to label otherwise. I have lived almost one third of my life in Europe (Belgium where I am originally from, as well as in Romania and Germany), in Latin America (Honduras where I was born, then in Brazil, Argentina and Peru), in the United States (Massachussets and Washington D.C); and a few years in Asia (China and India), and one year in Russia as well as three years in Morocco.
Already as a school girl I experienced four different national education systems.
I then decided to study my undergraduate degree in my country of origin, namely Belgium, where I graduated from a major in German and English linguistics and literature (« germaniques ») and a minor in Slavic studies. In parallel I also studied a teaching degree, thereby becoming certified to teach in secondary schools.
I started my career as a corporate assistant and trainer in Asia, and then taught in British secondary schools in Latin America before completing a two-years Masters degree in political science in the USA. I have also taught at the British School of Brussels, the International School of Brussels, and St. John’s International School, Brussels.

Since my Masters I have mostly worked in international development, and have done project coordination, fundraising, and project design of education programmes in Romania, Morocco, and Belgium.

I continue to work as a consultant in social policy to promote children’s and women’s rights and well-being in Belgium.
I was also selected to be trained and received certification from the British Council to be a trainer of teachers in the « Core Skills » : Imagination & Creativity, Communication & Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving, Citizenship, Student Leadership, and Digital Literacy.
Most recently I received certification from the Centre of Experiential Learning from KU Leuven, to evaluate a child’s Well-being and engagement in the classroom, as well as the teacher’s approach.
